Overview

Mid Level (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) – Part Time Candidate will be managing the Infusion needs of patient’s needs and maintaining the continuum of care; from intake, assessment, and treatment through the completion of their visit. Our primary focus will be administering the delivery of biologic medications (e.g. Remicade, Tysabri, etc…), but we also offer a full range of infusion services including, but not limited to, antibiotics, hydration, iron, and steroids. You will be the primary, independent practitioner tasked with safely and efficiently delivering infusion therapy to our customers suffering from chronic diseases and acute medical illnesses. We welcome NPs and/or PA’s from all medical backgrounds with a positive attitude, preferably outstanding IV skills, and an active Tennessee license. We are currently hiring a Part Time candidate for our ambulatory infusion center located in Spring Hill, TN. Hours of operation are M-F, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday’s on an as needed basis. Responsibilities will Include: · Administration of IV infusions in accordance with clinical protocols;· Starting IVs and monitoring patients during the infusion process;· Maintaining accurate electronic medical records;· Providing clear patient instructions and education regarding infusion protocols;· Creating a positive, relaxing & professional environment;· Maintaining a highly-organized, safe, and clean work area. Ability to work well with a supportive team that includes our Centralized Intake/Prior Authorization team, our Purchasing Team, and Home Infusion/Specialty Pharmacy team to provide the best possible experience for our patients. Required experience: 1. Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school and current board certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Tennessee or degree from accredited Physician Assistant school with active license in the state of Tennessee 2. At least 2 years of experience as a practicing Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician assistant; or 5 years experience as an RN in Infusion, Oncology, ICU, ER, or other practice providing infusions 3. BLS/ACLS certification. Preferred criteria: 1. Infusion nursing non-oncologic and/or oncologic and/or 2. Previous experience in Oncology practice, ICU and/or Emergency Room as RN or NP POSITION OVERVIEW: • Perform physical assessments • Administer IV infusion therapy • Provide screenings, interventions, counseling • Be prepared to provide support to patients with potential adverse infusion related drug reactions • Prescribe and perform lab tests as needed for Infusion patients • Collaborate with TwelveStone Medical director and supporting clinical staff • Manage patients and their wellbeing with vaccinations and patient education JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Master’s degree level Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant • Current Board Certification and license to practice as Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician’s Assistant • Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-energy environment • Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility • Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously • Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care • Ability to lift packages of up to 10 lbs, • Prior experience with electronic medical records, typing and computing • Ability to consistently present a friendly, welcoming, and professional approach to patient care.

Qualifications

Required
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Tennessee (TN)
  • Valid Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) in Tennessee (TN)
  • 5+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Oncology
    • Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
    • Infusion
  • Master's degree or higher
