Overview

Registered Nurse provides various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit Nurse Manager. Requirements: • Must possess valid RN license • Minimum of (1) year nursing experience • Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements • Must submit to HHSC required drug test • Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting • Must complete facility and HHSC required training Responsibilities: • Maintains the therapeutic milieu for inpatient psychiatric patients – Receive at least 2-3 weeks preceptorship with a seasoned RN. • Performs assessment of patients' nursing care needs each shift. • Provides nursing interventions to meet patient individualized goals towards independence and recovery. • Provides patient education. • Administers medications and treatments; documents accordingly. • Perform computer data entry – Receive full training. • Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, EPPC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives. Requested Schedule: • Night Shift - 7:00pm to 7:30am (Sun, Mon, Tues; Mon, Tues, Wed; Wed, Thurs, Friday and PRN available) • Day Shift - 7:00am to 7:30pm (Saturday, Sunday and Monday; will consider part-time Saturday and Sunday) • Must commit to a required 2 week training, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. • Anticipated training start date June 1, June 16, July 1, July 18 Address: El Paso Psychiatric Center 4615 Alameda Ave. El Paso, TX. 79905

Qualifications

Required
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)

  • Do you have any Psychiatric experience?
  • Current ID, TB, Resume, 2 references, and willing to fill out skills checklist
