Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview

This Excavator (Heavy Equipment) Operator is responsible for the use and operation of heavy construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This Excavator Operator position requires ability to safely, productively, and with proven skill, control, maneuver, and navigate construction equipment to a high degree of grading and excavation accuracy. Top 3 Skills Needed: 1. 3+ years of experience Operating Heavy Equipment in a Construction related environment (required) 2. Valid driver’s license required 3. Experience operating in a production-focused environment Day to Day This Excavator Operator position requires ability to safely, productively, and with proven skill, control, maneuver, and navigate construction equipment to a high degree of grading and excavation accuracy (specifically excavating ash from rail cars). Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Qualifications

• Operating Heavy Equipment in a Construction related environment (3+ years)
• Valid Regular Driver License (DL)
• 3+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Operating in a Production-focused environment
  • Experience utilizing GPS grading systems (i.e. Trimble, Topcon)

• High School/GED
• Valid OSHA 10
