Overview

Must have 1-year experience in Psychiatric Nursing Schedule: - Full-time RN Rotating Shifts - 6 month to 1 year Contract - Day Shift: 6:30am-7:00pm - Night Shift: 6:30pm-7:00am **Must be available for 12 consecutive days of training M-F 8a-5p Address: San Antonio State Hospital 6711 S. New Braunfels Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78223 San Antonio, Texas 78223 We welcome all applicant profiles with the following requirements; - Must have 1 year experience in Psychiatric Nursing. - Must be licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact - Will conduct themselves in accordance with the Rules and Regulations relating to Registered Nursing Education, Licensure, and Practice in the State of Texas. - Will abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and Facility, abide by agency attendance and leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. - Will complete assigned duties in accordance with the duties assigned to permanent RNs of the Facility. License, Certification, or Registration required: (All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Facility) Registered Nurse (by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners) must be in good standing and maintain that license while providing services at the Facility. American Heart Association – approved course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Facility. Must ensure Contract Office has a current license and current CPR certificate at all times while providing services at the Facility. Failure to do so will require a suspension of services until an updated license and CPR certificate are provided and no monetary penalty will be assessed against the Facility for such suspension in services.

Required
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
  • Current ID, TB, Resume, 2 references, and willing to fill out skills checklist
  • Have you received both doses of the Covid-19 Vaccine?
