Overview

As a Director of Patient Access Services, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, and operations of Patient Access and you’ll ensure that programs align with the systems strategic initiatives with emphasis on customer service and the overall patient experience. In this role, you’ll use your leadership experience and excellent organizational skills to oversee the delivery of high quality services for patients, be in charge of leading policy development and maintenance, standardize role function, lead operational implementation and continued daily function, enhance and own technical system functionality, avoid denials and bad debt related to unauthorized hospitalizations or procedures, avoid un-sponsored care or incorrect patient payor or demographic data, increase Point of Service (POS) Collections, and enhance patient/family and physician/provider satisfaction with access services. Additionally, you’ll need the ability to lead and inspire your team and experience in a clinical setting with 200+ beds. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. 2. 10+ years' experience in comprehensive health care environment with significant management experience. 3. Excellent organizational skills and ability to demonstrate strong leadership within matrix teams. 4. Understanding and experience with quality improvement philosophy approach and tools. 5. Ability to quickly establish rapport, motivate, gain respect and to lead is essential. 6. Knowledge of hospital and clinical healthcare delivery. 7. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, including Federal and State funding programs, such as Medicaid, and CHIP. 8.
