Sr. Accountant

Overview

Must Haves: -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required Or -Master’s Degree preferred -5 years relevant experience to include public and private accounting experience. - -Familiarity with GAAP and preparation of financial statements. required -Texas sales tax knowledge, familiarity with NAIC filings and/or CMS reconciliation, and extensive experience in, and knowledge of medical and insurance industry preferred. Licenses and Certifications: -CPA – Certified Public Accountant- REQUIRED What you need to know: -Perform monthly financial statement closing procedures, ad-hoc account analysis, and review of account activities to maintain accuracy in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and in compliance with the Center for Medicare & -Medicaid Services (CMS). -Prepare consolidated financial statements as well as implement recommendations for new statement presentations. -Responsible for the compilation and timely filing of quarterly reports with the CMS.
