Overview
Job Requirements: -Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification -Demonstrated experience with the tasks outlined in the job Summary -Demonstrated experience with coding for OB-GYN -High School or General Education Diploma -Strong Skills in CPT, ICD-9 & HCPC Coding Applications What you need to know: -Under general supervision performs in depth complex daily CPT, HCPC, and ICD-9 coding of inpatient and outpatient charge documents received from physicians for surgical procedures such as: vascular surgery, skin grafts, interventional Radiology, etc. -Accurately interpret handwritten notes/diagnoses and convert them into CPT/HCPC/ICD-9 codes. -Retrieve all pertinent charging information through HCRT an IDX systems for professional fee coding purposes. -Batch and review all charges for data entry readiness. -Prepare memos to physicians/staff regarding abstract feedback as needed.
