Overview

Required skills and experience: -· Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry · You accept that things change quickly in a startup environment and are willing to pivot quickly on priorities · You are comfortable delivering educational seminar/instruction on psychiatric related topics to clinicians and patient What you need to know: As a Psychiatrist with our company, you influence and ensure the best clinical care for your patients. You will work collaboratively with an assigned panel of physicians and care managers to manage they psychiatric needs of patients living with kidney disease and other chronic, complex diseases. This includes the opportunity to work with many different members of the interdisciplinary team including registered nurses, nurse care managers, health coaches, dieticians, pharmacists, nephrologists, social workers, and even cardiologists and podiatrists. Primary functions for this role will include: · Design and perform psychiatric assessment evaluations, both telephonically and in-person where possible and preferred · Determine appropriate psychiatric care plan for patients, and work with the rest of the interdisciplinary team to integrate that plan into the patient’s overall care plan · Partner with the rest of the interdisciplinary team on building patients’ comprehensive care plan, weighing in on where other areas of a care plan may need to be adjusted due to a patient’s psychiatric needs and/or state · Prescribe, monitor and dispense psychotropic medications, as needed and appropriate, taking into account the patient’s full state and care plan · Act as an internal subject matter expert, developing and delivering education to patients and/or caregivers regarding psychiatry best practices · Drive quality measures and appropriate quality metrics

Qualifications

Required
  • Doctorate degree
  • Are you Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry?
  • Kidney Care Patients (3+ years)
  • Are you comfortable working in a start-up environment?
